Why us

The work is professional. It's also deeply personal.

Everything we teach is grounded in neuroscience, shaped by more than twenty-five years of professional practice, and informed by lived experience.

The Mental Wealth Revolution was never created as a theory or a commercial training programme. It grew from a simple question: why do capable people so often struggle beneath the surface, and what helps them rediscover the capacity that was there all along?

That question has taken Jules from personal experience, through decades of research and practical application, to working with organisations and individuals across the public, private and third sectors. Today, organisations trust The Mental Wealth Revolution because our work combines scientific understanding with genuine humanity, helping leaders and teams better understand themselves, each other and the Human Capacity upon which sustainable performance depends.

The work today

From survival intelligence to self-intelligent leadership

Every organisation depends upon people making good decisions under pressure. Yet pressure changes the way people think, communicate, lead and perform long before anyone notices the signs.

Jules helps leaders and teams understand the human operating system that sits beneath behaviour, enabling them to recognise the difference between Survival Intelligence and Self Intelligence, and the impact each has on performance, communication and decision-making.

Grounded in neuroscience, shaped by humanity and informed by lived experience, this work gives organisations a practical understanding of Human Capacity that people can apply immediately and leaders can build upon over time.

Why this work exists

For many years, Jules lived with anxiety and depression while outwardly appearing successful. Like so many others, she genuinely believed there was something wrong with her.

That experience sparked a question that would shape the rest of her life: why do capable people so often struggle beneath the surface, and what if there was never anything wrong with them in the first place?

The search for that answer led beyond personal experience into neuroscience, the nervous system, psychology and human behaviour. Not simply to collect knowledge, but to understand how pressure changes the way we think, feel, lead and perform, and how Human Capacity can be reclaimed when we begin to understand what is really happening beneath the surface.

I do not believe people need fixing. I believe they need understanding.

Today, that same curiosity underpins everything The Mental Wealth Revolution teaches. It is why our work combines scientific understanding with genuine humanity, helping organisations create environments where people can think more clearly, lead more confidently and sustain high performance without sacrificing the people responsible for delivering it.

How the work evolved

Built over decades. Refined through experience.

The Mental Wealth Revolution wasn’t created from a single idea or one professional discipline. It has evolved through decades of working in high-pressure environments, developing leaders, supporting organisations and continually asking one fundamental question: how do people sustain their Human Capacity when the pressures of life and work continue to increase? Every stage of that journey contributed something essential to the work organisations experience today.

High-pressure leadership

Learning how performance is shaped under pressure

Two decades spent developing leaders and designing performance programmes in demanding commercial environments provided first-hand insight into the realities of leadership, decision-making and sustained performance under pressure.

Prevention before crisis

Understanding people before they reach breaking point

National community initiatives, including The Big Happiness Experiment and the Happy Schools emotional health programme, demonstrated the power of helping people understand themselves earlier, rather than waiting until difficulties become crises.

Refining the practice

Turning understanding into practical application

Years of working with organisations, professionals and practitioners refined the language, frameworks and practical tools that make Human Capacity understandable, accessible and immediately applicable in everyday working life.

Today

The Mental Wealth Revolution

Everything that came before has evolved into one integrated approach to Human Capacity, combining lived experience, neuroscience, practical application and organisational insight to create stronger leadership, healthier cultures and performance that people can sustain.

Jules and Lee Mitchell, founders of The Mental Wealth Revolution
Built together

Different expertise. One shared mission.

The Mental Wealth Revolution brings together two complementary perspectives.

Jules has spent more than twenty-five years helping individuals, leaders and organisations better understand Human Capacity. Her work combines lived experience, neuroscience and practical application to help people think more clearly, lead more confidently and perform more sustainably under pressure.

Lee brings more than thirty years of experience working with organisations, governance and strategic development. Alongside a successful career in regulated financial services, he has built partnerships, secured significant grant funding and helped organisations turn ambitious ideas into sustainable, long-term impact.

Together, they share a simple belief. Understanding people is not separate from organisational success. It is the foundation of it.

People are not short of potential.
They are short of understanding.

Recognition

Recognised for impact beyond the room

The Mental Wealth Revolution is about more than delivering keynotes and workshops. It is about creating understanding that has a lasting impact on people, organisations and the communities they serve.
